The different types of animal tissues commonly found in our body are collagen, bovine elastin and hyaluronic acid (the main component of the skin and other connective tissues). The main difference between animal tissues and ours is that in our body, we need collagen for keeping the skin and its tissues and fat together. The other types of animal tissues found in us are fat, bile, tendon, bursa, kidney and blood vessels.
The major categories of body tissue are striated, stellated, woven and fasciculate. Stenosed (the most common type) are the inter-connective tissue between two bones. Stellated are the fibrous tissue connecting muscle tissues to bone. Woven is a category of tissue composed of tough fibrous tissues such as those in the gut and heart. Fasciculate is a combination of two categories; the myofascial (muscle tissue) and the interosseous (blood vessels).
The major functions of the major organs are maintenance of the health and regeneration of tissues or cells. The nervous system controls the activity of all the body cells. In the nervous system, the brain is connected to each of the organs by bundles of nerve fibers called neurons. The neurons convey messages from one organ to another through the nerves. The major nervous systems are: brain, kidney, pancreas, heart, lungs, nervous tissue and skin.
The other categories of tissues are structural or non-structural. Structural tissue includes bones, teeth, cartilages, ligaments, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Non-structural tissue comprises the blood vessels, vascular smooth muscle, lymphatic tissue and other connective and support structures. There are certain organs which are made up of a combination of structural and non-structural tissue. The liver is a good example. It needs both structural and non-structural cells for it to function.
Types Of Animal Tissues
These three types of tissue constitute the major parts of the body. The major functions of these tissues are repair of injured tissues, maintenance of the health of an individual and regulation of the body’s processes. Besides, the tissue also stores energy for the functioning of the cells. The tissue’s functions depend upon its location.
The three types of animal tissues are defined according to their location. The muscle tissue surrounds the muscles. The blood supply to the muscles is through the muscle tissue. Muscles of the lower limbs help support the body weight, while the muscles of the head and upper body to perform the movements of chewing, walking, running and throwing.
The other two types of tissues are defined as epithelial and connective. Embedicular tissues are enveloped by an epidermis. Connective tissues are loosely connected to the epidermis. Epithelial tissues are the most abundant types of tissues throughout the body.
The three types of tissues are broadly classified into three categories: The vascular types, which include the blood vessels; The vascular Smooth pleura, which are found in the nasal cavity and the lining of the mucous membrane; and The smooth muscle cell, which can be found in the heart, spleen, pancreas and lungs. The other types of tissues are the endometrial, cervical and intestinal cells. The structure of the organs also determines their type. Endometrial cells are the one responsible for menstruation, while cervical and intestinal cells are involved in the process of feeding. The smooth muscle cell produces a smooth inner lining of the uterus while the epidermal cells are responsible for forming a rich, moist lining of the epidermis. In addition, the types of the tissues define the functions of these organs.
Every organ has both types of tissues and at the same time these two types of tissues play different roles. For example, the vascular system is the main supply of oxygen to the body cells. Therefore, if the vascular tissues are damaged, it can result in a disease like cardiovascular disease. If the connective tissues of a body part are injured, it can cause an inflammatory disease like rheumatoid arthritis. However, if the two types of tissues are intact, they act together to maintain the normal functioning of an organ. As for example, if a part of the kidney is damaged, the other kidney-related tissues are not affected.
These types of animal tissues are found in different parts of an organ. For example, the hair has hair strands, the teeth have dentin, the skin has dermis, the muscle has collagen and so on. The epidermis, dermis and epidermis are separated into two different types – the epithelial tissue and the cell oriented tissue.
