Sand Fish Lovely Animal Kingdoms

Not really a fish but actually a lizard, this six inches long distinctive animal species has a tan color. The color of the lizard helps it in blending perfectly with the sand dunes in deserts. The sandfish is a delicate reptile – a particular specimen of desert adaptation and hardy wildlife. It is named after its potential of swimming through sand dunes by way of efficient movement. It remains under the sand instead of being on top of it, and this is what saves the lizard from the harsh rays of the sun. It can travel under the sand at great speed. The animal has sparkling, smooth skin with shiny scales. It appears almost like a fish because of their gloss and slime. It is a toughness of its skin that allows the sandfish to swerve and swish through silica-based, abrasive desert sands.

Dung Beetle

The animal species survive by consuming the feces of various other animals. Dung Beetles are amazing desert creatures with a sensitivity to smell. They remain close to animal feces. The ones taking care of children generally roll the feces around and carry them home. These animals use the sky or the galaxy as their guide for bringing rolled animal feces home.

Brewer’s Sparrow From Animal Kingdoms

The Brewer’s Sparrow has this amazing ability to feed on seeds, and this is what helps it in surviving in the desert regions of North America. It feeds on seeds that might be deficient in water but high on their carbohydrates content. These birds are not able to thrive entirely on carbohydrates reduced to oxygen, carbon, and hydrogen. Nevertheless, they have the potential of deriving good quantities of dihydrogen monoxide or metabolic water. This comes as a significant asset for these birds, especially during severe drought conditions.

Horned Viper

It is quite challenging to get hold of Horned Vipers mainly because they remain hidden under the sand for protecting themselves from the desert heat. These strange animals have horns sticking out over their eyes. The horns protect them while remaining buried underground. They cannot dig holes. Thus, they borrow the holes made by other animals such as lizards. When threatened, these animals rub their scales for producing saw-like sound. Really weird!
