There are billions and billions of animals in the world and come in different shape and sizes in this animal kingdom. Some animals are so small we cannot see them in the naked eye, and there is a need of microscope to see them. While there are some animals also which are so vast and massive that more than 100 average human beings can fit into the body structure of these animals. Such is the beautiful and unique creation of God.

Let us look at the five biggest animals in the animal kingdom.

Great Whales

These big animals stay under water. They don’t have teeth but have a grill like a mechanism to chew their food. There are also many subspecies of the great whale. The enormous whale has a massive configuration of 200 tons known by the name of Baleen Whale, next comes Right Whale with 80 tons, and next comes the ton fill whales, the sperm whales and the bowhead whales with weights of 75, 60 and 45 tons respectively. Whales are the biggest animals of the animal kingdom.

Elephants

Elephants are the second biggest animal of the animal kingdom. The African Bush Elephants are the biggest of them. The weight of an average elephant is about ten tones. These animals are also the most massive animals currently living on land.

Hippopotamus

A baby Hippopotamus weighs about 1000 pounds so that you can imagine the weight of these enormous large creatures. A fully grown hippopotamus weighs up to 4 tons. The actual meaning of their name is river horse. Hippopotamus spends 18 hours of the day in the water on an average. They can grow up to 14 feet and can even breathe in the deep part of the river.

Rhinoceros

There are a total of 5 species of rhinoceros. Three of the species lives in Asia while two lives in Africa. In all of these, the White Rhino is the largest among all with their overall weight as 2, 5 tones when they grow fully. But don’t go by the name. The White Rhino is black in color.

Polar Bear

Polar Bear is the largest animals that are carnivorous. They are the biggest flesh-eating animals in the world. Their body part comprises much of fat as they have to adapt themselves to the extreme cold condition of the Polar Regions. An adult polar bear weighs up to 1500 pounds.
